Topic:   Assembly Costs - Why are some parts $0?

By: StanFPosted on: Apr 19 2021 at 09:30:43 AM
I've got an assembly with 8 parts.

The "Build Cost" of the assembly is correct at $229.2247

In the Parts List/BOM view...7 of the parts have the correct cost. 1 part has a "$0" cost in the Parts List/BOM view, but it is properly included in the $229.2247 Build Cost.

When I open the part with the "$0" cost, it has the correct "Cost" of $197.95.

So why is it "$0" in the Parts List/BOM view???

Thanks!

Is that 197.95 part a sub assembly?

If the BOM contains ASSY sub-assemblies then we don't show the build cost of that sub assembly. Instead we show the purchase cost of the components inside that sub assembly.

If that doesn't answer the question please take a screenshot and/or export the BOM to CSV and email to us at
