Topic:   Unable to access Mariadb after server IP address Change

By: MarkPosted on: Mar 1 2024 at 02:47:34 PM
Window 7 OS
MiniMRP Enterprise
MariaDB is running on Ubuntu 22.04

I have used MiniMRP connected to a Maria database for a number of years with any trouble. Recently I reconfigured my network and the database server IP address has changed. When I started miniMRP I pop-up came up an indicated that miniMRP could not connect to MySQL server on xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (10061). I chose YES to adjust the server connection. I entered the new IP address on the database options screen and then clicked on the Test and Save the Connection button. A new popup that said the it could not connect to server.

Nothing has changed except for the IP address. I am able to login to the local computer that is is running Mariadb using SSH from the PC so I know that I do have connectivity to the computer. I have made sure that Mariadb is running and the firewall is properly configure.

I don't know the exact miniMRP version, but it is probably the first 5.x release or very close to it.

Any thought?

Thanks
Mark

OK I have it solved. Digging into mysql a bit I needed to rename the old user host to the new IP host .

Thank you for coming back to us. Yes. I was going to suggest that you needed to go into mysql settings (phpMyAdmin) and make sure the host settings are correct.
