Topic: What is going on with shipments having multiple pack lists?

We don't normally break an order into two shipments but we did and the qty's are strange.
First Shipment:
Item order qty previously shipped packed qty
1 3 3 0
2 2 0 2
This is my first shipment and I'm only shipping Item 2 but MRP decided to enter a qty 3 for Item 1 as "previously shipped". It wasn't shipped "previously"
When I shipped Item 1 the values swapped...
First Shipment:
Item order qty previously shipped packed qty
1 3 0 3
2 2 2 0
And now the "Previously Shipped" value is right.

Sorry. I don't know. Nobody ever reported a problem with it before.
I'll need to test this to see if I can reproduce it and get a fix released if necessary.

I've tested this a few times and I can't make it go wrong.
You say you had not shipped anything at all but when you created the very first shipment for that order it was already showing a previously shipped quantity?
When you create the very first shipment for a customer order the "previously Shipped" column shouldn't even be visible (because nothing has been shipped yet)
I'm not saying you're mistaken. I'm saying that I'm sure you're correct but I can't figure out the sequence of events that would make this go wrong. It sounds like a display issue rather than an actual shipping error.
Can you please observe this next time you break a delivery into multiple shipments maybe take a screenshot of the very first shipment showing the previously shipped quantity. If possible take a backup - could you send that to us?
Another question - what version of the software do you have? 5.0.??? It's that last group of digits gives me the revision number.
